Weare Crews Knocked Down Buckley Road Fire

Weare, NH — September 16 — Weare Fire Rescue responded on Wednesday night to a reported fire at a mobile home located at 194 Buckley Road, near All Seasons Campground.

The department was initially called around 11 p.m. for a smoke investigation. The 911 call was later updated to confirm a mobile home fire. The responding units included Weare C1, Engine 2, Tanker 1, Ambulance 2, and Utility 1.

When the crews arrived, Engine 2 reported heavy fire conditions and a first alarm was struck. The firefighters quickly started fire suppression efforts and had the fire under control by approximately 11:20 p.m.

Most of the requested mutual aid was canceled as the initial crews made progress. Henniker Engine 2 remained at the scene to help with overhaul operations.

Firefighters continued inspecting the structure and completing overhaul procedures before clearing the scene shortly before 12:30 a.m.

The Concord Monitor reported that the fire caused major damage to the mobile home, which was later deemed uninhabitable.

The report stated that the only occupant was outside when firefighters arrived and did not report any apparent injuries. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

Weare’s 2026 Emergency Operations Plan includes mutual aid agreements with neighboring departments as part of the town’s fire and EMS response system. Weare Fire Rescue operated from 144 North Stark Highway and coordinated with its mutual aid partners during the incident response.
