Corsica, Pa. — October 14 — A new 2,000-gallon tanker manufactured by Alexis has joined the fleet of the Corsica Volunteer Fire Company. The device has a 10-inch rear swivel dump chute, a 1,500 GPM pump, and a stainless-steel body with roomy storage spaces. A contemporary LED warning light package is also included, which is intended to increase safety and visibility.

The tanker can be used as a first-out response unit when staffing levels are low or as a shuttle tanker for water delivery operations. The improvement improves the department's capacity to respond efficiently to non-hydrant and rural locations while preserving flexibility during emergencies involving limited manpower or throughout the day.
