Car Fire Threatens Home in Yantic

Yantic, CT - At 3:49 P.M. on Monday, November 9th, the Yantic and East Great Plain Fire Departments were dispatched to 167 North Wawecus Hill Road for a car fire near a house. Engine 31 arrived at 3:58 P.M. and reported an active car fire about 10-feet from the residence. The crew stretched a one-and-three-quarter inch crosslay and extinguished the fire in a few minutes. There were no injuries, and the Norwich Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating.
