Kitchen Fire Displaces Rochester Homeowner

ROCHESTER, NY - On Tuesday, November 8th at 6:28 P.M., the Rochester Fire Department responded to 44 Menlo Place for a reported kitchen fire. First-in companies reported heavy smoke showing from a row-townhouse. Fire was found to be in the kitchen and in the laundry room below it in the basement. The fire was brought under control in approximately 25 minutes. The homeowner and a dog were able to escape the blaze unharmed. Officials from the RFD were investigating the cause. The homeowner will be staying with family members while the home is being repaired.
