Ledyard, CT — October 23 — On Friday evening, the Ledyard Fire Company, stationed at Fairway Drive, deployed in conjunction with the Gales Ferry Volunteer Fire Company to address a reported fire involving a trailer at the residence located on Rose Marie Court. Upon receipt of an alert regarding a fire at a trailer, fire crews were mobilized; both departments deployed personnel and apparatus to manage the incident and augment resources for suppression efforts.

Upon arrival, firefighters initiated operations to contain the blaze, with crews systematically coordinating their efforts to extinguish the flames and mitigate internal conditions within the structure. At approximately 7:31 p.m., officials confirmed that the blaze had been fully suppressed, allowing firefighters to transition to ventilation operations aimed at evacuating smoke and enhancing interior conditions within the structure.

Ventilation played a critical role in the incident, enabling crews to mitigate residual smoke conditions after initial suppression operations had been implemented. The response necessitated a coordinated effort between the Ledyard Fire Company and the Gales Ferry Volunteer Fire Company, both of which provided emergency services to the surrounding communities by leveraging their regional response capacities.

Through mutual-aid arrangements, the Ledyard Fire Company delivered fire suppression, rescue operations, and emergency services to Ledyard as well as surrounding communities. The preliminary incident report offered no details regarding injuries, property loss, or the origin of the blaze.
