Sanborn, N.Y. — October 10 — Shawnee Volunteer Fire Company Inc., 3747 Lockport Road, participated in Fire Prevention Day at Fricano Primary School. Firefighters spent the day teaching students about fire safety and the importance of preparedness.

The department extended thanks to Wendelville Fire Company for the invitation to join the event, which supported National Fire Prevention Week’s goal of community education and awareness.
