PWFD Assists Albertson at Roslyn Heights House Fire.

Port Washington, N.Y. — October 29 — On Wednesday morning, the Port Washington Fire Department responded mutual aid to assist the Albertson Fire Department at a house fire in Roslyn Heights, where a Nassau County firefighter sustained serious burn injuries after falling partially through a weakened roof.
A fellow firefighter with just one year of service reacted immediately, pulling his injured partner to safety and preventing further harm. The injured firefighter was transported to the Weill Cornell Burn Center in stable condition.
