Valley Stream, N.Y. — October 12 — The Valley Stream Volunteer Fire Department had a busy overnight, responding to six calls, including a mutual aid assignment in Lynbrook for a commercial building fire. Engine 343, Ladder 346, and Chief Capone assisted at the scene alongside Lynbrook crews.
Locally, firefighters also handled storm-related calls as strong winds and rain moved through the area. Chief Capone reminded residents to remain cautious, noting that the storm would continue into the morning hours.
