October 14, 2025 — During its monthly business meeting Tuesday evening, the Woodgate Volunteer Fire Department presented Barneveld Fire Chief Kevin Kalk with a $2,316 donation to support the Barneveld Fire Department’s building fund.

The contribution was made possible through proceeds from Woodgate Fire’s pulled pork dinner fundraiser, an event supported by community members whose generosity helped make the donation possible.

Woodgate Fire members expressed pride in assisting a fellow department, emphasizing the importance of neighboring fire companies supporting one another in their shared mission of public safety and community service.

“This donation reflects the strong bond between our departments and our commitment to helping each other grow and serve our communities,” the department said.
