Baltic Responds Mutual Aid to Fully Involved Mobile Home Fire in Franklin

Baltic, Conn. — November 1 —A garage fire was reported at around 1:45 a.m., prompting Baltic Fire Engine Company #1 to send mutual aid to the Town of Franklin. When Tanker 124 and Car 24 arrived first, they discovered a mobile home completely involved with potentially dangerous exposures. As Car-24 took command and organized incoming units, Tanker 124 extended a handline and started defending surrounding structures.

Tanker 124's engine and Franklin A short while later, Engine-Tanker 125 arrived and helped with the water supply and fire attack. After the fire was brought under control, Baltic crews worked on the scene for about two and a half to three hours before handing over control to Franklin staff. No one was hurt. The relevant authorities are investigating the cause of the fire.
