Norwalk, Conn. — October 20 —The Norwalk Fire Department spent a sunny weekend at Lowe’s hosting a community fire safety event aimed at raising awareness and promoting prevention. Firefighters met with families, demonstrated equipment, and shared tips on home fire safety and emergency preparedness.

Children had the chance to explore the fire trucks, while adults learned about smoke alarms, kitchen safety, and escape planning. Department officials said the outreach was part of their ongoing effort to strengthen community safety through education and engagement.
