Dunn’s Corners Firefighters Stop Kitchen Fire from Spreading

Dunn’s Corners, RI — October 24 — Dunn’s Corners Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire on Mowrey Road. Crews arrived to find a fire contained to an oven with no extension beyond the appliance.
Westerly Ladder 1 was canceled while en route after the situation was confirmed under control. Ladder 1 had been added to the assignment as Tower 5 remains out of service for scheduled maintenance.
Firefighters checked for extension, ventilated the area, and ensured the home was safe before clearing the scene.
