Two-Vehicle Head-On Collision in Harford Results in Minor Injuries

Harford, NY - On 08 October at approximately 11:17 a.m., the Harford Fire Department and EMS were dispatched to a serious two-car head-on motor vehicle accident with entrapment on the far east side of their district.
Upon notification, Chief 462 requested mutual aid from the Marathon Fire Department with a heavy rescue unit and an engine, as well as Dryden Fire (Neptune Hose Co. #1 of Dryden, Inc.) and Dryden Ambulance, Inc., both responding with heavy rescue resources.
Three patients were extricated by Marathon Fire personnel. Fortunately, all injuries were reported to be minor. Also assisting at the scene were Dryden Ambulance, Marathon Ambulance, the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office, Ron’s Towing, and the Cortland County 911 Center.
The Harford Fire Department extended their appreciation to all agencies involved for their prompt assistance.
