Owasco, N.Y.—October 20— The Owasco Fire Department, located at 7174 Owasco Road in Auburn, held a hands-on training session this evening at a donated residential structure, allowing firefighters to practice a range of essential fireground operations.
Members trained on wall breaching, roof ventilation, window-to-door conversion, and horizontal ventilation—skills critical for rapid access, search and rescue, and smoke control during real-world incidents. The use of an acquired structure provided a valuable opportunity to practice these tactics in realistic conditions that can’t be replicated in standard training facilities.
