King Ferry, N.Y.—October 23— The King Ferry Fire Department, located at 1011 NYS Route 34B, continues to strengthen community ties by opening its station to local nonprofit organizations. During this week’s regularly scheduled drill night, members were pleased to share the station with Girl Scout Troop 40081, which held its meeting in the community room.

The troop balanced its regular activities with a light Halloween celebration, complete with festive decorations and baked treats. In a thoughtful gesture, the Scouts left behind a batch of decorated cupcakes for the firefighters to enjoy after training.
