October 2, 2025 — The Cambria Fire Company participated in a joint training exercise Wednesday night alongside neighboring departments, focusing on pre-planning operations for high-rise facilities within the region.

Truck 8, Engine 4, and the Cambria ambulance took part in the session, which was held in a nearby district to enhance preparedness for potential large-scale incidents. Crews reviewed building layouts, access points, and coordination strategies to ensure efficient and safe operations should an emergency occur.

Participating agencies included Lockport Firefighters, South Lockport Fire Co., Inc., and Wrights Corners Fire Company.

Cambria Fire emphasized the importance of mutual aid training, noting that interdepartmental cooperation is key to effective emergency response.

The department also encouraged community members to get involved: “We’re always looking for new members to join our team. Stop by any Thursday at 7 p.m. or visit Cambria Volunteer Fire to learn more.”
