Small Fire Contained to Old Foundation on County Road 2

Angelica, N.Y. — October 14 —An exterior fire was reported close to County Road 2 and Turnpike Road in the Town of West Almond late Tuesday morning, prompting the response of Angelica Fire and Rescue. When crews arrived, they discovered a small fire raging inside an old foundation's corner. The heat held in the surrounding stones and the volume of water needed to completely cool the area indicated that the fire had been smoldering for a long time.
