28, 2025 — Wyoming Hook & Ladder Engine 5 crews were out Monday performing routine dry hydrant flushing — an important part of maintaining reliable rural water access for firefighting operations.

The maintenance work took place against a backdrop of vibrant fall foliage, offering a scenic reminder of the changing season as firefighters ensured equipment and infrastructure remain ready for emergency use.

Regular hydrant flushing helps verify flow capability and prevents sediment buildup, ensuring that when a fire emergency occurs, crews can access water quickly and efficiently.
