October 9, 2025 — Members of the Middlesex Fire Department’s Rope Rescue Team joined forces with the Dundee Rope Rescue Team Thursday evening for a joint hands-on training session.
The exercise focused on the fundamentals of rigging and anchor placement, as well as the safe and effective use of a Stokes basket during rescue operations. Firefighters also practiced connecting multiple 100-foot rope lengths, learning proper techniques to extend reach and maintain safety when operating in challenging conditions.
These collaborative training sessions are designed to ensure that both departments remain prepared and proficient when responding to real-world rescue scenarios.
