Local Firefighters Gear Up with Intensive Emergency Vehicle Driver Training

October 21, 2025 - Over the past week, a 16-hour Emergency Vehicle Driver Training course was hosted, bringing together 13 members from the department along with participants from the Ashville and Keystone Regional Fire Departments. The comprehensive program equipped emergency personnel with essential skills for safely operating emergency vehicles.


Instruction covered key areas such as defensive driving, emergency response procedures, vehicle maintenance, and hands-on practice through a challenging driver training obstacle course.
