Basement Fire Quickly Contained on Coventry Circle

Piscataway, NJ - On 18 October at approximately 7:22 a.m., Piscataway Fire Districts #2 and #4 were dispatched to 95 Coventry Circle for a reported house fire. Chief 50 and Truck 56 responded to the scene. Upon arrival, units discovered a working basement fire.
Chief 50 assumed command while Truck 56 arrived as the first-due truck company. Firefighters from Truck 56 and North Stelton’s Engine crew entered the residence, located interior access to the basement, and initiated a search. The fire was located on the Charlie side of the basement, where the Engine crew quickly applied water to bring the flames under control.
Truck 56’s crew conducted a primary search of the remainder of the home, placed ground ladders, and performed ventilation operations to clear smoke. All units successfully completed their assignments and cleared the scene at approximately 8:30 a.m.
