Lykens Firefighters Assist Wiconisco in Route 209 Vehicle Accident

Lykens, Pa. — October 19, 2025 —
The Lykens Fire Department assisted Wiconisco Fire Company (Company 23) on Route 209 Sunday afternoon for a vehicle accident involving multiple trapped occupants.
Engine 22 established a hose line for fire protection and assisted with patient care and extrication efforts. Utility 22 was diverted to Station 23 to help set up landing zones for several medical helicopters, while Company 22 Fire Police managed traffic around the scene.
