Wrightsville, Pa. — October 2 — On Thursday afternoon, the Wrightsville Fire Department responded to a vehicle and vegetation fire along U.S. Route 30 East. Engine Company 41 arrived to find both the automobile and surrounding brush burning. Crews worked quickly to extinguish the fire and prevent further spread.

The department was assisted on scene by Hellam Fire Company and Southern Area Fire, with Deputy Chief 41 assuming command. Crews operated for approximately an hour before returning to service.
