Dover Township Firefighters Contain Vehicle Fires, Assist Patients at Scene

Dover Township, Pa. — October 14 — Units from the Dover Township Fire Department, including Deputy Chief 9, Engine 9-1 with four personnel, and Rescue Squad 9 with four personnel, arrived at the 3100 block of Ruppert Road at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday in response to a vehicle accident involving fire and reported injuries. Crews arrived to discover two cars completely engulfed in flames; everyone inside had safely evacuated. While Rescue Squad 9 coordinated with the on-scene EMS to provide patient care, Engine 9-1 started fire attack operations. As the incident commander, Deputy Chief 9 was in charge of patient treatment flow and fireground coordination.
