Catawissa, Pa. — October 7 — The Catawissa Fire Company had a busy day combining fire prevention education and emergency response. The morning began with members visiting a preschool to teach children about fire safety, including escape planning and how to call for help.
At 12:25 p.m., crews were dispatched to the 200 block of Old Reading Road for a delivery truck entangled in wires. While still on that scene, units were redirected to the Riverview Point Apartments for a commercial fire alarm, which was found to be unfounded upon arrival.
