Catawissa, Pa. — September 29 — The Catawissa Fire Company held an evening training session featuring its new Amkus jacking rescue struts, which are used to stabilize vehicles during motor vehicle accidents. Members practiced proper setup, positioning, and safety procedures to ensure the equipment can be deployed quickly and effectively during emergencies.
The training improved members’ confidence in handling real-world rescue scenarios involving overturned or unstable vehicles. The department extended its thanks to Dirket Recovery and Roberts Towing for providing vehicles used in the practical exercise.
