Firefighters Assist EMS at Three-Vehicle Crash on Route 30

Strawpump, Pa. — September 25 — On Thursday afternoon, three vehicles were involved in a rear-end collision on Route 30 close to Norwin Avenue, to which the Strawpump Volunteer Fire Department responded. Rescue 2 arrived, confirmed that three vehicles were involved, and started helping the on-scene EMS crews assess patients. In order to guarantee safe operations during cleanup, Rescue 2 and Squad 2 blocked the westbound lanes of Route 30, and Rescue 3 blocked the eastbound side to safeguard crews and stop further collisions. The road was reopened after firefighters were on the scene for about twenty minutes.
