Gloucester City Home Fire Draws Regional Firefighting Teams

Westville, N.J. — October 19 — As a component of Taskforce 5, the Westville Fire Department responded to a residential fire in Gloucester City this evening at 849 Cumberland Street. Chief 701 was in command, Battalion 5 was in charge of operations, and Battalion 3 provided extra coordination. Engine Camden 10, Ladders 3 & 1, Squads 5 & 16, Rescue 738, Camden 1, and Cascade 344 were among the units that were used on the scene. When firefighters discovered a fire on the first floor of a two-story single-family home, they worked to put out the fire and protect the building. During the incident, the Westville team—which included the Chief and Rescue 738—provided support.
