Riverside Firefighters Rescue Multiple Occupants from Residential Fire

Riverside, NJ - Riverside Fire Company No. 1, along with mutual aid departments, responded to a reported structure fire on Scott Street with reports of occupants trapped inside.


Arriving crews encountered smoke and fire conditions at the rear of the building and immediately initiated search, rescue, and fire suppression operations. Firefighters quickly performed two rescues from second-floor windows using ground ladders, while additional arriving crews assisted with fire attack, ventilation, and continued rescue efforts.


Multiple residents were safely removed from the structure during the incident. Thanks to the rapid actions of responding firefighters, all occupants were rescued without reported injuries and the fire was brought under control in a timely manner.
