Motorcyclist Injured in Mastic Beach Crash

Mastic Beach, N.Y. — A motorcyclist was injured in a collision with a pickup truck on Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2024, authorities said.
The crash occurred at around 1:50 p.m. at the intersection of Dogwood Road West and Huguenot Drive, according to Suffolk County Police.
Mastic Beach Ambulance Assistant Chief Jalen M. arrived on scene with a crew from Ambulance 5-39-17 and found that the pickup had struck the motorcycle. The motorcyclist sustained injuries, and the crew, with assistance from Ambulance 5-39-19, provided treatment before transporting the patient to a local hospital. The extent of the motorcyclist's injuries was not immediately known.
Mastic Beach Fire Department also responded to the scene but was quickly dismissed as their services were not required.
Suffolk County Police officers from the 7th Precinct took over the scene after the motorcyclist was transported. No further details were available.
