Strong Mutual Aid Response Controls Structure Fire in Beach Haven

Ship Bottom, N.J. — October 7 — At approximately 5:40 p.m., the Ship Bottom Volunteer Fire Company (Station 46) was dispatched alongside Beach Haven Volunteer Fire Company (Station 15) to a reported structure fire at Long Beach Boulevard and 2nd Street. On arrival, crews encountered heavy smoke from the third-story roof, prompting 15 Command to strike a second alarm.

Units 4605, 4611, and 4627 from Ship Bottom operated with Beach Haven personnel to bring the fire under control, successfully confining it to the third floor. Station 51 covered Ship Bottom’s district during the incident. The coordinated response demonstrated the strong mutual aid partnership among island departments, ensuring an efficient and safe resolution.
