The Little Silver Fire Company spent the day at Point Road School for their annual Fire Prevention Day, teaching students about the importance of fire safety and emergency preparedness.

Firefighters spoke with classes about how to prevent fires, what to do in an emergency, and how to safely exit a building during a fire. Students also had the opportunity to explore fire trucks, see the tools firefighters use, and learn what firefighters look like in full gear — helping to reduce fear and build familiarity.

These educational visits are a key part of the department’s community outreach efforts, emphasizing that fire prevention starts with awareness and preparation.
