October 5, 2025 — With unseasonably warm, summer-like weather over the weekend, Fair Haven Fire Department’s Marine 13 crew took advantage of the conditions to conduct on-water training.

The department’s marine volunteers dedicated time to practicing boat operations, water rescue procedures, and coordination drills to ensure readiness for any potential waterway emergencies.

“Even as the seasons change, our commitment to preparedness doesn’t,” the department shared. “Regular training keeps our Marine 13 team sharp and ready for anything on the Navesink River.”

The FHFD continues to emphasize year-round readiness and safety, reminding residents to remain cautious on local waterways as boaters take advantage of the extended warm weather.
