October 9, 2025 — Residents across Haddon Township and nearby communities along the Delaware River witnessed military aircraft flying overhead between 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. on Thursday morning. The activity was part of the 250th Anniversary Celebration of the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps, which honored two and a half centuries of service and maritime tradition.

In addition to the aircraft, several U.S. Navy and U.S. Coast Guard ships traveled up the Delaware River as part of the day’s commemorative events.

The celebration featured a series of ceremonies and public activities held throughout the week, marking the founding of the nation’s sea services.

For more information about the anniversary and related events, residents were encouraged to visit the official website: www.homecoming250.org.
