Gouldtown, N.J. — October 11 — The Gouldtown Fire Department concluded Fire Prevention Week with a visit to Fairfield Township Elementary School, giving students a firsthand look at the work firefighters do and the importance of fire safety.

Firefighters demonstrated their gear, explained how smoke alarms function, and spoke about the importance of having and practicing a home escape plan. Students were encouraged to discuss safety drills with their families and to remember key steps—get out, stay out, and call for help.
