Hampton, N.J. — October 8 — Members of the Hampton Fire Company Station 13 visited Hampton Public School this morning as part of Fire Prevention Week activities. Firefighters spoke with students about basic fire safety, what to do in an emergency, and the importance of knowing their home address when calling for help.

Following the classroom presentations, students went outside for a hands-on look at one of the department’s fire engines. Firefighters explained the tools, gear, and equipment carried on the apparatus, giving students a better understanding of how firefighters respond to emergencies.
