Seminole County, Fla. – October 11, 2021 – In honor of “Adopt a Shelter Dog Month” in October, Invisible Fence of Central Florida is donating 20 life-saving pet oxygen masks on October 11, 2021 to the Seminole County Fire Department (SCFD) to help reduce the number of pet fatalities. The donation is being made on behalf of Invisible Fence® Brand’s Project Breathe™ Program. Each year, it’s estimated more than 40,000 pets die in fires, most succumbing to smoke inhalation. Programs like Project Breathe are addressing this issue.

All 20 stations at the Seminole County Fire Department will receive a pet oxygen mask. SCFD has been using pet oxygen masks since 2004.

“Thank you to Invisible Fence for its generous pet oxygen mask donation to our Seminole County Fire Department,” said Fire Chief Otto Drozd III. “Since 2004, the Seminole County Fire Department has been utilizing these specialty masks on our first response units. We know that pets are important family members and we want to ensure that they survive fires.”
