Overnight House Fire Drew Northmoreland Crews to Dallas Township

Dallas Township, PA. — October 3 — Northmoreland Township Volunteer Fire Company crews responded to a house fire that occurred overnight in Dallas Township.The residence was reported to be heavily involved when the call was dispatched.


Tanker 140 and Tanker 140-2 were dispatched to the scene and provided water for firefighting activities. Additional fire companies from other departments also helped during the response.


Engine 140 was tasked with setting up a water supply at Lake Catalpa. The engine operated at the lake to ensure a consistent water supply while crews at the fire location carried out suppression efforts.


The operation required coordination between the fire scene and Lake Catalpa for a steady water supply. Tankers transported water to the incident area, while Engine 140 maintained access to the water source.


This coordinated effort enabled firefighters to continue their suppression work throughout the overnight response. Several fire companies joined together to provide the necessary personnel and equipment at the scene.


Northmoreland Township Volunteer Fire Company participated in the mutual aid operation from its station located at 1618 Demunds Road.
