Mashpee, Mass. — October 7 — Mashpee Fire Department’s Group 4 conducted night operations training with Marine 1, focusing on improving response skills for after-dark emergencies on the water.

The exercise provided crews with hands-on practice in navigation, scene lighting, and patient handling during nighttime conditions, reinforcing the vessel’s role in water rescues and medical emergencies.

Officials said the training helps ensure that responders are prepared to operate safely and effectively in low-visibility environments common in marine incidents.
