Highgate, Vt. — September 15 — The Highgate Volunteer Fire Department held Monday night training with the Vermont Electric Power Company at the Highgate substation.
Firefighters reviewed substation hazards, response protocols, and coordination with utility crews during power-related incidents. The session focused on safety, communication, and teamwork to enhance readiness for emergencies at critical infrastructure sites.
