Crews Respond to Pickup Truck Down Embankment in Newburgh

NEWBURGH, NY - On October 6th, Middlehope FD responded to a vehicle off the roadway with possible entrapment on Oak Street. On arrival firefighters found a pickup truck off the roadway and down an embankment. Firefighters used a cable to secure the pickup truck while a State Trooper assisted EMS with removing the driver, who was then transported to Montefiore-St. Luke's Hospital by Town of Newburgh EMS. Mobile Life ALS assisted at the scene. The roadway was completely shut down during the incident. Town of Newburgh Police are investigating the cause.
