Wethersfield, Conn. — September 11 — Members of the Wethersfield Volunteer Fire Department proudly took part in a moving tribute this week, escorting the American Veterans Traveling Tribute Wall as it arrived in town.

Firefighters provided a fitting patriotic backdrop by displaying the department’s Great American Flag during Wednesday’s arrival and Thursday’s ceremony.  The department expressed gratitude to Wethersfield Physical Services for their assistance in setting up and taking down the massive flag, ensuring the display was handled with care and respect.
