Fayette, ME - Fire crews responded to Readfield for a report of a car fire threatening a structure. The first units on scene found the vehicle fully involved, with flames extending into the dwelling. Departments from Readfield, Fayette, Wayne, Vienna, and Mt. Vernon worked together to quickly knock down the car fire before shifting focus to the house. Firefighters were able to limit damage to one end of the dwelling, though it took additional time to extinguish hot spots that had spread into the attic and roof.
