Over the past few days, Wayne’s Paramedic Firefighters have been hard at work completing training in ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) and BLS (Basic Life Support).
BLS focuses on the fundamentals—such as CPR, using an AED, and assisting patients in respiratory or cardiac emergencies.
ACLS builds on that foundation with more advanced care—such as managing cardiac arrest, stroke, or other life-threatening emergencies with specialized skills and medications.
Why does this matter to the residents of Wayne? Because in the moments that matter most—when a loved one collapses, when a neighbor experiences a stroke, or when seconds truly mean the difference between life and death—these firefighters are trained and ready to act.
The community can take pride in the team’s dedication to continuous training and service. Wayne can count on its firefighters to be there—skilled, prepared, and committed to protecting lives.
