HILLTOP, N.Y., Sept. 6, 2025 — Three members of the Hilltop Volunteer Fire Department — Ashley Vosburgh, Milana Baldizzi, and Jamie Pierce — took on a challenge of endurance and remembrance by participating in the CNY Stair Climb this past weekend.
The event, which honors the courage and sacrifice of first responders, required participants to climb 110 stories, symbolizing the number of floors in the World Trade Center. Vosburgh, Baldizzi, and Pierce completed the climb successfully, carrying with them the spirit of the firefighters who gave their lives in the line of duty.
The department expressed pride in its members’ commitment to honoring the fallen while also demonstrating perseverance and strength. Their participation drew community recognition and even earned them a feature on WKTV NEWSChannel 2.
“Special thanks to them for representing our organization with pride,” the department said in a statement.
