Firefighters encountered heavy fire in a commercial building during a three-alarm blaze that damaged three structures and required extensive suppression operations.
At approximately 10:05 p.m. on September 23, 2026, Fall River Fire Department crews responded to 26 Rodman Street in Fall River, Massachusetts. First-arriving companies found heavy fire showing, prompting a second alarm followed by a third.
Firefighters operated multiple handlines and aerial streams as flames spread to neighboring buildings. Mutual-aid companies, including Westport and Tiverton Fire Departments, provided station coverage. One firefighter sustained a minor injury, and one resident was displaced.
One building was destroyed, while two others sustained damage. Crews remained on scene for several days extinguishing hot spots as demolition operations progressed. The cause remained under investigation.
