At the 50th anniversary of the New Jersey State Firefighters Parade in Wildwood, members of the Union Fire Company were recognized for their dedication and hard work on two of their apparatus. The company’s 1935 Ford received First Place Best Appearing Antique from the 1930s, while Tanker 2516 was awarded First Place Best Appearing and Equipped Tanker.
These honors hold special significance for the members who devoted countless hours preparing the apparatus while continuing to respond to numerous incidents. Over the years, the company has participated in many parades and earned numerous awards, but this year’s achievements stood out as especially meaningful.
The company also extended congratulations to Taunton Fire Company, which earned First Place Best Appearing Antique from the 1940s for their Jeep.
