HAUPPAUGE, NY - Just after 12:30 P.M. on September 23rd, two cars collided in the intersection of Ledgewood Lane and Vets Hwy., sending one car into a tree and the other onto the shoulder of the roadway. One driver had to be extricated by firefighters and was rushed to a nearby hospital in cardiac arrest. The other driver sustained injuries and was transported as well. Suffolk County police aviation was given a disregard as both patients were transferred by ground.
