Residential blaze contained at 1840 Franklin Boulevard

Linwood, N.J. — September 16 — On 16th September afternoon a residential fire alarm brought Linwood Professional Firefighters IAFF Local 4370 to 1840 Franklin Boulevard.

Engine 54 and Car 5 arrived first on the scene. They noticed smoke rising from a two-story wood-frame house while two firefighters were on duty.

The fire was discovered in the back of the house, near an outdoor kitchen and patio area. When the fire was found to be spreading throughout the building, it was labeled a working fire.

Additional help was requested from District 6 in Northfield and District 4 in Somers Point. Crews worked quickly and were able to bring the fire under control. They stayed on scene for nearly two hours carrying out overhaul and ventilation of the house.

Linwood Professional Firefighters IAFF Local 4370 extends sincere appreciation to the mutual aid partners from Northfield and Somers Point for their prompt and effective response.
