Mutual Aid in Action: Area Firefighters Assist at Two Incidents

This article is a direct street report from our correspondent and has not been edited by the 1st Responder newsroom.

Williamstown, N.J. — October 4 — Firefighters from Williamstown and nearby departments managed two distinct fires on back-to -back days, starting with a house fire on October 3 and followed by a scrapyard fire on October 4.

The Williamstown Fire Department was the first to respond to the incidents, receiving mutual aid from Cecil Fire Company, Glassboro Fire Department, and Washington Township Fire Department.

Agencies’ teams collaborated to manage and control both fires. The events underscored how mutual aid supplies extra staff and equipment when agencies handle distinct crises in close succession.

The Williamstown Fire Department extended gratitude to its mutual aid partners for help rendered at the two incidents.
